Know where your water meter is
As this is our first hint, we thought we would start at the beginning. For you as the home owner, that's the water meter.
Some people don't know they have a water meter or where it is located.
If there is an emergency or you need to do some repairs, you will want to know where to shut off the water.
So take the hint!
- Locate your water meter. In most cases it’s at the front of the property.
- Test the tap at the meter (ensure the tap is easy to turn)
Note that old-style, inner-city terraces may be sharing a meter with their neigbour.
